The area is primarily a neighborhood of houses that line four canals about a quarter-mile long each. It can be a great outdoor location for couples/family or personal photoshoot. There are sidewalks and bridges you can walk on to take in the views of this beautiful area. Choose between my personal route or create your own! Each route usually starts by the Venice Canals but can move in any direction you want. The route we take depends on what you’re looking for — Venice Canals is the small European-esque oasis which is the best for love story or individual / street style photography. My goal is to make sure you get the best pictures that you want and to guide you along the way.
Personal Route
2 hours recommended
Start: Venice Canals
Route: let’s take a walk down the bridges to get a few pictures with the iconic Venice Canals, cute houses and romantic atmosphere of the canals and water on a hot day. Once we are done with this location, we will take a walk to the neighborhood to find the very pretty backgrounds in the alleyways with flowers & trees.
Finally, we’ll walk toward the beach to take advantage of the Venice beach location and continue with our photo shoot by the beach, pier, or boardwalk. Also, the Venice sign is close by for an iconic shot if you’d like one.
Bonus: option to rent a scooter/longboard for a fun, in-the-moment look.
